Lulugroove is a new website that I recently discovered that makes all sorts of felted pieces, apparel for kids and adults and accessories. My favorite piece? "The Ex" lulu doll. So adorable and a little bit Tim Burton-esque. Plus each lulu doll comes with a funny little phrase. This one says, "Old lovers are like a banana that's too ripe. There are probably good parts to it, but once you've seen the brown mush, there's no going back . . ."

Online Fashion Zines

Tons of great online (and print) indie fashion magazines are popping up lately. It makes me happy to know that enough people are interested in buying handmade (and having something unique) to warrant all these pubs. Here are a few I have discovered that I enjoy perusing:

N.E.E.T. Magazine - I have been a fan of this magazine since it started. I have found many great etsy shops and other online indie shops via N.E.E.T. Check it out!

VivaLaModa - This bi-monthly online fashion and handmade magazine launched in December 2008 and talks all about great fashion, eco-friendly, vintage and handmade finds.
Dujour Magazine - I just discovered this magazine when they started following me on Twitter. (By the way, I am sort of in LOVE with Twitter). It's a lifestyle magazine online and in print (can be shipped worldwide!) that covers fashion (of course!), beauty and art. Love it!

If you know of any other online zines that focus on handmade, D.I.Y., vintage and/or indie fashion, please share!

Kermit the Frog says, "It's not easy being green." Well, these wonderful eco-friendly items make it just a wee bit easier. So do your part to help Mother Earth and buy eco-friendly.

Stewart + Brown. Karen Stewart and Howard Brown created this clothing line in 2002 and consider themselves ethical pioneers. As their company has grown, they continue to give back to Mother Earth by donating a minimum of 1% of their profit to non-profit, non-governmental environmentally-conscious organizations. I have loved everything I have purchased from them.

Feral Childe. This duo of eco-friendly designers are sold in independent boutiques all over the country and online. Check out the website for stockists.

Hydra Heart. These made-to-order earth-friendly vegan shoes are super comfy and adorable. They are much better as slippers or indoor shoes though since the bottom of the shoes are thin. She even makes children's shoes. Love it!
And don't forget to participate in Earth hour on March 28. After all, there are still a few fun things you can do it the dark. ; )

Addiction: Yellow dresses!

Spring is almost here and that means lots of clothes in one of my favorite spring colors - yellow. I have spotted a few great yellow dresses online in the past week that I wanted to share:

Yellow dresses at Indie Fashion Addict This beautiful silk chiffon dress is made by Portland designer Holly Stalder. I pretty much fell in love with this dress as soon as I saw it. It is made to order and if you have an event to wear it to, it is completely worth the money. Or, just buy the dress and create an event to wear it to.

This Mellow Yellow dress is from another great Portland designer, Sarah Seven. Just lovely.

Yellow Dresses at Indie Fashion AddictMy friend Nikki recently introduced me to great clothing line, Milly, which launched in 2000. Here is the bamboo halter dress which is part of the spring collection. Simple and classy.
